Second Imperial Stout

So good, it defies gravity.

Moo Brew Imperial Stout, the second stout in my current collection was given a go today, this was a limited release bottle so a little more expensive.

Upon opening the bottle it let out a hiss, it was as if this thing was pissed off. As I started pouring it it went wild, completely filling the glass and exploding over the top. It took a good 5 minutes or so to completely pour it. I didn't expect it to be this carbonated, the one before it was a tame, tame thing. This one even defied gravity whilst being poured.

In the end though the beer tasted fine, I was informed that it could have been sour due to an infection, a cause for over carbonated beers.

It was similar to the one before it but no where near as strong; more chocolatey, really good, i'm very pleased with it.

The label and style of the bottle of the Moo Brew line is very appealing, It's one of my favourite styles i've seen thus far, from the Moo Brew logo on the top of the cap, to the collar flowing down to the curves of the bottle with a nice well written label.

If you take a look at the other bottles they each have a distinct design. I'm definitely going to be trying some of the other varieties soon.

Moo Brew Imperial Stout - 8.5%, 2.2 drinks, $25.
